Terms of Service

This is a general-purpose template, not legal advice, and hasn't been reviewed by an attorney. Before relying on it for a live product that takes real payments and handles personal data, have a licensed lawyer review and adapt it for your business and jurisdiction.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using NutraSnap ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What NutraSnap does

NutraSnap uses AI to estimate nutrition information from photos of food and product barcodes. Estimates from photos are approximate — portion sizes, ingredients, and preparation methods can't always be determined precisely from a single image. Barcode results are sourced from third-party product databases and may be incomplete or outdated.

3. Not medical advice

NutraSnap is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. Health scores, diet-goal personalization, and nutrition estimates are informational only and should not be used as the sole basis for medical decisions, including decisions related to diabetes, allergies, or other health conditions. Talk to a qualified healthcare provider about your individual nutrition and health needs.

4. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away at support@nutrasnap.net if you suspect unauthorized use.

5. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans renew monthly and are billed through Stripe. Your scan balance resets to your plan's amount at the start of each billing period — unused scans do not carry over. You can cancel anytime from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise. We don't offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to upload unlawful content, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, create accounts through automated or fraudulent means, or resell access without our written permission.

7. Intellectual property

NutraSnap and its branding are owned by us. You retain ownership of any photos you upload; by uploading them, you give us permission to process them solely to provide the analysis you requested.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NutraSnap isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including decisions made based on nutrition estimates or health scores.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
